How to Play Burnout Drift: Hilltop
The objective is not to turn as sharply as possible, but to maintain a controlled drift across mountain-style tracks with long corners, wide sections, and barriers that create risk when pushing for higher scores.
- Choose a Vehicle. Select a car and customize its appearance before entering the track. Options include car color, wheels, and visual appearance. These changes mainly affect the look of the vehicle rather than the core gameplay mechanics.
- Start Drifting. Build speed and use steering controls to initiate a slide around corners. Corners provide the best opportunities for building drift points, while straight roads are usually less valuable for scoring.
- Maintain the Drift Multiplier. Longer drift chains increase the score multiplier. The multiplier resets if the car crashes, the drift stops, or the vehicle loses control.
- Improve Your Score. Replay tracks and improve your drift distance, consistency, and control. Higher scores come from better driving decisions rather than simply driving faster.
Compared with standard racing circuits, these tracks are built more for practicing drift lines than competing lap times.
